Need help on which MPC to buy!!!

Hello,Im new to this forum.I'm a big fan of hiphop music and I started working on my project studio last year.The first piece that I bought was a Triton Studio 2.0 version. I know alot of you are die hard MPC users and some even hate Korg products ,but I wanted to give myself some options when I make my music. I like to make some of my material original and add sampling as needed on some tracks. Sometimes I'll make a song out of ten different samples with no keyboard sounds. My problem is I have not worked with an MPC since the MPC 60 came out and that was around 93 and it was a friends. I need to know the pros and cons of the different MPC's /1000-4000. Why do artist use the MPC 3000 more than any of the other MPC's (that Akai does'nt make anymore) like Dre,R.Kelly,etc. I was really thinking about getting the 4000 but what edge will the 4000 give me over the the 2000XL besides more sample time. I'm planning on running the MPC along with the Triton for some killer tracks. I'm a big fan of crate digging and sample chopping. I do not like to sample from anything other than vinyl. It's just something about that pop-pop crackle that I love in my samples. The Triton can do a lot for a keyboard workstation like sample/chop/time-stretch/rate-convert/etc but I'm sure that the MPC can do alot that the triton can't. I know that I would rather play my drum seq. on the pads than keys . Can anyone on this forum give me some input on which MPC would work best in their opinion....

Get what you could afford, no one in the right mind cant go wrong with any of the Mpc series, plus a trition killer combo. my suggestion will be a Mpc 4000/w/adat option, adat option for the computer that u are using, and midi it up, and you should be straight, remember there are pro and cons on all mpc, it just how you use it. I use a classic 2000 with 8 outs that i use with a korg, i use adat options for all the outs of my machine and a computer thats it, i hope that helps.

I think that I might be leaning more towards the MPC 2000XL. I soon will be bangin the pads.....
