Adjusting midi velocity

Using MPC One, I can't seem to adjust the velocity of my external midi synths. If I move the sliders up and down, nothing changes. Is there a way round this or do I have to change the volume control directly on my keyboards? Thanks

I'm not entirely sure what you mean but could be:

You can change the velocity of each individual 'note' in midi through the piano grid or form recording your midi device

It does sound like you are trying to change the input volume though. This is done through the audio input track of the device and not on the midi track - if you want the MPC to do it. Ideally your external devices and the back on the MPC would keep a set volume and then you fine tune through the audio track for that mdi device.

Did you actually setup your external MIDI controller on your MPC through the MIDI learn function? MPC doesn't auto-magically know which MIDI CC messages you want to control what....

Try using the tracks's Velocity value (100% - 1%) instead of the slider.
