Send same track to multiple programs? Switch programs?

Hello any gurus, I think I've tried everything obvious-ish before asking here...

I want the creative and workflow convenience of being able to quickly, in a performance, switch out or instruments that are playing some midi notes in a track. (E.g. switch the drums a pattern is playing on to a wildly different set of sounds for just one bar).

Is there a way to send the same track to multiple programs? (Then I can mute programs on and off to do what I want). Or to programmatically, in a sequence, or at the hit of a button on a midi controller (or qlink), switch the program that a track is being sent to?

One hope I had was that qlink might let you select which prog a track is playing to, but sadly no. For context, in other things I've considered... I don't want to do this by copying and pasting each track, because I like to switch sounds on a midi sequence frequently (and copy paste is slow) but also the tracks will change over time, so I'd have to re-copy etc every time. I don't want to do it with sequences because I'm not switching to completely different song sections (and like a lot of people I find the seq functionality a bit squitchy).

One other thing I considered (which I'd love for other reasons): is there a way with a qlink or midi controller to transpose the notes being sent out by a track up or down by octave while playing live? Then I could have different banks with different sounds within one program and switch between the banks being played by the track at the press of a button.

The dream would be if you could have the option to: switch banks while a track is playing, and then have the 1-16 notes from the track that were recorded in Bank A play on pads 1-16 of whatever the current selected bank is.

I've experimented now with midi tracks and i see these options:
- using send to in midi track to send events to one program
- copy events - it's a 3 button process so it might not be as bad
- bounce a few loops from different programs and use clip program

try using the "SEND TO" setting.
