..and I think it is a good method - I did beta testing in a company for non-music software. Often there were features taken out last minute, as it was causing issues.

Setlists = this is just a page containing shortcuts to directly load your favourite projects without having to manually browse for them on the disk. So tap on the project name and it loads that project (and as is currently the case, it will replace the existing project).

OK :-(
MPC-Tutor wrote:File management improvements have not been mentioned in any of the 2.11 previews. The Sounds browser is not a file manager, it's effectively a plugin preset browser.

I understand the Sound browser - good anyways...

MPC-Tutor wrote:Setlists are project shortcuts, so I guess this is a loose kind of file management improvement, but IMO 'file management improvements' should be things like file copy/paste, moving, sample library tagging and indexing etc. Many of these were originally promised for 2.0, but the focus now seems to be heading in a different direction (presets, fancy FX plugins etc).

Thnks Tutor for the correction... hoping and reading - two things ;-)

What's going to be in the MPC Bible 2.11 version tho?

He should put in a new section on how to use the search function on the website.

First I've heard of that but then again everything about the MPC Key was a leak too so who knows. If they are. maybe the folks testing those out were smarter and didn't break their NDAs haha.

Maybe it was aimed at me :) This point of internal program change has been discussed and desired for so long.

Thanks Mpc Tutor for confirming that there is a (little) hope and no confirmation at all that this function of internal plugin and fx "program change" is implemented in 2.11.
I know there is only a few days of waiting to have the answer... As I use the SSH / Global Mapping on my LIVE 2.10.1, switching firmware is not made in a glimpse, so knowing what has been fixed or improved on the new 2.11 could be cool for us with MPC involved gigs this summer... also for Qlinks / midi Learns bugfixes and MIdi Note Off conflicts :)

It would be logical for the MPC to have an improve on plugin program, it could works good with the new sound browser. Today on 2.10.1 you can use 8 plugin programs instance in one project... In MAIN window, Plugin Program Row has a dedicated "Program" tab where you can select the preset used by the program. But this is isn't per sequence, but, as the audio track, per project... So implement this "program" tab per sequence could be there , I can't get while AKAI did'nt make it befor as it is a huge sell argument : 8 plugins that are really configurable make a perfect instrument/ workstation... Like the midi Out program that are quite flexble for each sequence you can send a different PC and Port... And make your live set on one project only .

Just saying , and waiting :)

I asked several of these "youtube influencers" who promoted the 2.11 update on multiple social media. None of them was willing to answer whether obnoxious bugs were fixed or some MIDI functionalities were added, like program change for plugins.

So I guess the rest of us will find out on the 23 of june.

Regarding youtube influenzas, they will have signed an NDA which won't allow them to talk about bugs or anything 'off topic'. They would have been told by Akai what they could and couldn't talk about. These guys are not going to risk their relationship with Akai over stuff like this.

Also I suspect most of these guys spent around a whole 1 hour with the MPC before they rattled off their option vid, so highly unlikely that they spent enough quality time to delve beyond all the headline stuff. It's pretty clear from most of these videos that they don't really have any familiarity with the features.

They are influenzas for sure. They give me headache. All repiting the same moniker. Even the guys that were cool at the start of their channels, now, always repiting the same formula. Zero innovation. It was clear akai rolled out a script that they have to follow, and Im sure they only did it for the views. Althou it never going to happen, akai would have to pay me actual bills if they wanted me to do any promo shit for them.

For sure there are a lot of useless videos - a beared guy was trying to find out the new functions - but I think he not even spend an hour to do so - nevertheless, it showed that some operations are not well done: Sample kits (drums and keygroups) can not be saved as favourites....
