no man.. Im bouncing drums and its all on the same track 1. What I do now is to route the sounds I dont want to bounce to output 3/4 (wich I dont use, as i dont have adat on my comp)
What I want is to solo a single sound in a program so I can bounce only that sequenced sound to the comp and after that, solo another one and bounce that and continue this method till everything is recorded.

I really hope this is possible because I m not gonna use the sequencer from the 4k anymore.. I use only 1 multi with several programs wich will be triggered from within Logic.

hy ikke - dont think its possible ... currently i mute or solo this kind a stuff at my mixer ... if you have individual outs i m sure you ll find a workaround by using them ... but muting pads would be a nice feature imo - add it to the featire wishlist ...

on the list s already the separate track to individual tracks feature which could be of your help in this case ... however its not on the 4k yet and i think muting and soloing pads is a better alternative ... i for example mostly work on template sequences where i know where my tracks are sendin there stuff too from the first place - im sure many others do that too ... and i fear that the separate track feature could screw up my entire sequence ... thats why i d prefer to mute pads within programs too ... dunno ... just my 2 cents ...

Oh... I see. I typically program each drum on it's own track, so this was
as easy as soloing that track, but if they are all on 1 track then that is harder.

Other then the future OS revisions that Alto is talking about, the one thing
that you can do for "drum" programs, is user the "Pad" mixer. Manually
move the Levels for each pad down, except for the one that you want to
record. That should do it for you, right?

Here is another way to use the MPC 4000 with a remote sequencer:

I know that you may not be into this at all, but if you are using a remote
sequencer, you can use "Program Change" requests in the Sequence
itself to have the MPC 4000 play a sequence automatically. So in Logic
you can at bar 8, add a program change to play sequence 1 on the MPC
and then when it gets to 16, have it switch the MPC to playing sequence 3,
and then when you get to bar 32, you have it play sequence 6.


You get the idea.

Thx! I didnt know there was a pad mixer.
I dont like to use program change.. Can I disable incoming and outgoing program change on the MPC?

im not behind my mpc now, but i remember that you could turn it off at the midi filter section

Why dont you copy the whole track to your pc, and sequence the mpc from logic, and edit the notes there??? That is how i do it for more complex stuff.

Are you selling your mpc?

can you solo individual notes in Logic?

go to midi-edit,,, select all,,, press shift,, and press the of the note you want to keep and press delete.

If youre realy that lazy, just hire someone to do it for you

Ok, in case you don't know how to get to it.

1). Press "Mixer" button

2) Press F2 Pad Mixer


This gives you Pan, FX Sends, Outputs and Volume per pad.

I sometimes like to add a little reverb to just my snare and clap
or have a different amount of reverb on my hats compared to the
snare and clap. Then have the BD routed different FX send and
have it compressed or distorted, so it's not reverbed like the others in the set. Great way to change up a drum kit.

I've been able to take the default TR800 kit at Hollow Sun and
make it sound completely different by tweaking around the Pad Mixer.
It still sounds like an 808, but you know what I mean.

Also, another option, instead of soloing or moving all the faders down,
swith the output of the individual drum to it's own output (i don't have an
8 out or 8 ADAT out), so it goes to 1/2 output instead of L/R
