Using this with mpc x.

2 kybds and 1 sound module connected to this powered usb 3.0 hub..
X finds and records all midi perfectly fine.
Red port is to POWER CHARGING ONLY, NOT DATA. ONLY use red port to charge devices.

It is definitely possible to use more than one MIDI controller at a time. I connected my MPD218 and my Alesis Vmini to my Live at the same time, and used them for different Tracks. I had a drum program mapped to my MPD and I was using the Vmini to control HYPE, in addition to having the MPC Pads for a different drum program. The MPC Firmware can handle 32 MIDI Controllers I think.

I have one similar to this. I like the power buttons next to the ports for easy on/off.

Yeah, going the USB stick route in any capacity with a hub seems archaic. I slapped a 1 TB SSD into my Live, transferred all of my samples via my computer and any USB sticks I had laying around, once. Done.

There's literally no need for me to use USB sticks ever again at this point (thankfully).

Same here. 256GB SD+1TB SSD is plenty of storage, with no annoying thumb drives to keep up with or get broken from being bumped/smashed etc.

Got two RSH-518s that work just fine with my Live here.
