Mpc live mk2. Most current firmware.

Started a user template, but as I was populating samples, I ended up jamming and the bones of a track started to appear.

Saved the project as normal, in its own folder, in a folder for tracks I've made.

Loaded the project today and when I hit play start just the first beat plays.

All midi data is as normal. Pads are flashing as you'd expect. No mutes on. No weird routing.

I am thinking it must be to do with me loading it as a user template, but am unsure what would be different in that.

I've resaved under a different name and it's the same story.

I've taken a video if the above doesn't make sense.

Thanks

You're hopping through a lot of menus... and it looks like signals are being sent to different programs... you might have automation that you accidentally recorded that solos a track or something. Just a guess though.

I'd start by checking each track's automation and just make sure you didn't accidentally record a spurious mute or solo... an easy thing would be to go to each track hit ERASE, then tell it to delete automation.

You may also need to go through all of your tracks and just verify that you don't have any MUTE or SOLO set.

Last thought... maybe upload your project... or a variation of it... I am sure one of us could take a look and figure it out... but you may be right, that you've got a munged up template and that you should try from a clean template or EMPTY project.

I also saw some automation going red then green while menus were being flipped thru.

Check LIST EDIT.

Maybe that 32 Beat Chord is choking the Other sounds? How many other Programs do you have? Or is everything on One Program?

Separate that Chord Track to its own Program. See if that affects anything.

And like Lamp said...That Midi Clock Sync looks suspect

The bizarre behaviour continues.

Checked for any hidemesolos and mutes and there didn't seem to be any accidentally recorded automation.

Opened a blank project, went to the browser and found the original track. Imported it and it plays fine.

Saved and renamed in the new empty project.

Came out and then loaded up the new renamed version, and it's back to playing one or so beats and stopping again...

Cheers I'll try that. I changed the midi and it didn't make any difference unfortunately.

It's all one program

The 32 beat chord is just one stab that happens around the 16 step period and is a sample in the program.

It's a pretty bear bones project really!

If you'd like to provide a project load then maybe we can offer deeper help.

Cheers, I think that's got to be the only way I'll get to the bottom of it-the hive mind.

Just the xp file? Or the whole folder?

Thanks

I had this exact same problem a while back, not 100% sure but if memory serves it was a sync conflict, MPC was sending sync to my mx1 mixer and the mx1 was sending it's own sync to the MPC.
