That's even more reason to get the software update.

If it really looks bad, especially with pitting you should just paint it.
If it's just the lettering try to get it screened.

Either the buyer is not making a smart purchase or is just flaunting it.

The reason I bought it quickly, is that it fell in my lap, and I know that a 60 in good clean condition is rare, regardless of the price....and others were calling dude wanting to buy it also.
I had a pretty good idea that $400 was at least a decent price (I knew I wasn't getting ripped,) but I didn't know if it was a great price or not.

I guess the buyer (me) made an EMOTIONAL purchase, and yes, now I'm flaunting it.

3000, thanks for your brilliant, condescending insight (as usual.)

you can get new screws most likely. Definately get the upgraded OS, the memory would be nice too. You have no idea how much you'll like the machine, so start thewre and if you dig it, get the memory and scsi if you get that deep with it.

Yes, the OS upgrade makes sequencing much better as well. Definitly get it, you won't be sorry.

Yeah I saw this joint on Ebay, I did'nt think it would sell looking like that but hey  You can easily sand it down and paint it using a variety of auto paint. BTW, I'm not clowning you for buying it, I just thought dude's asking price was a little high for the physical condition of the unit. When I saw it on Ebay it was $650, but I see from your post you were able to get a better deal!

hahahaha. no doubt

dude had it for 700 buy it now so i emailed him stating that i've seen that particular mpc on ebay for months now; shit looks like it escaped the tsunami... noones copping that shit, i'll throw you 450... took a few emails with 20 hours left but i managed to talk him down

i hear you on the fact it looks beat but once i talked him down, i felt like a soccer mom charged up like goku and felt obligated to complete the transaction.

totalled about 5 with shipping/insurance/paypal

FINAGLED.

hopefully, the shit actually works

You can get forat to repaint it, or do it yourself, VST might too, but I don't think they are set up fot that.

We all know how much abuse Goku goes through before winning a battle.

Hey James show him your painted joint so he can see that.
Also look at:

It'll give you an idea of just how much you can do.

forats dope but way out of my budget; the hardware store looks much more promising.

cept for one thing.. the text. seeing as how its my first mpc text is a must and im pretty sure for a text job only (plus shipping to ny and back) it wouldn't be worth it.

But yea, you guys have been a great help. Good lookin out

Nah, check around locally to try and find some one to silkscreen it for you.

It 's not that bad , why don't you just paint the rust spots ( i did that with scale kit paints , they have tons of differents white or grey .) I mean i just love the blue and dark grey squares , it is just a part of the whole design .

Yeah, I love the stock look of the 60.
