My syjet drive arrived today and I am trying to chain it to through my zip, but neither are showing up as active. My zip is first in the chain and is set to id #5 - terminate is set to off - and the syjet is set to id #6 - i cant figure out what i am doing wrong, thanks.

Nah the other problem didnt go away but i believe Rohan has helped me in that.

On the other issue, it seems the SyJet does not have a termination switch. And I cant get the MPC3000 to recognize it period (plugging it in directly to the 3K).

Did you try formatting it? How about putting the zip after it and terminating it?

" it seems the SyJet does not have a termination switch"

The Syjet has automatic termination. It can sense if there are one or two devices connected and set it appropriately.

I cant format it, because the 3K cant see it.

I was referring to the weird things with zips where it doesn't see it but lets you format it.

I hope you get it working.

"I cant format it, because the 3K cant see it"

This tells us nothing. Have you tried formatting it? The MPC3000 will not recognize a drive until you BLINDLY format a disk at whatever ID is at.

Ive done that already. With multiple discs, i also downloaded the manaul and gone through the 3K manual.

Santa Elena is a favorite, San Martin de Porres, Santa Marta the dragonslayer. San Cipriano is good against black magic.

Just dip your hand in some holy water at a church (as disagreeable as it might sound, it helps).
