a few quastions about the 2000

ok firstly a line appeared accros my lcd screen. not a big deal, not very big, but it doesnt go away after i turn it on and off . it never used to be there. anyone had anything like this or know how to get rid of it or anything?
the second is just about sequenceing. i havent really found much use for it.
because i cant seem to use it very well. i think i need tips like how to get a good loop with it. and how do you make it play one sequence after another.because i know you can record loads of them. and with each one can you just record one overdub?
and one more. is there anything a shouldnt do with the mpc. that could **** it up. like smoke near it or leave it on for a week lol

Use common sense and don't
leave it on when not in use.

Don't take a bath with it.

You know that type of stuff.

You sound like you need to spend time with the manual man.

sequencing is one of the main things you need to use to create songs. when you want to create your drops, add in anything within your songs, you will need your sequences. when you are in song mode that is when you will really need it. i cover my mpc with a old towel to keep the dust out of it when i am not using it. don't leave it on when not in use. smoking i guess it is ok, i don't have a problem with mine. lampdog said don't take a bath with it. i agree. just use common sense. to get your songs to play after each other : song mode. read the manual and look at the site. to get a good loop, i sometime use the tap tempo note repeat button and tap along with the sample to get a tight loop. you can get the bpm for your sequence. i use different techniques of my own in which i created by myself and i set my drums up first and then set my loop up in my sequence and build from there.
