Hey everyone just wanted to check in with a little progress update. I'm completely new to the MPC workflow and at first, when I turned on the machine I was overwhelmed a bit with how much there is in the menu and how touch screen-oriented it is.
As an SP user, 404 for a while then 404sx, I was used to that workflow where, although super time consuming when I first got it, the sampler became super easy to use for me, workflow became rlly efficient, and was able to make beats very quickly once I got the swing of things.
However I felt limited on the SP and wanted a standalone for growing into a performing musician, using the MPC One for everything but my guitar work, which will be played live over the rest of the mix.
So it's day 5 now, admittedly I put the MPC One away after the first day and went back to using my SP only, needed to churn some work out quick, but after a dayyy of playing with the MPC I have developed a crush on this thing. After I figured out how to upload my samples into it and assign them to the pads I want, I have been non stop grinning as I literally feel the superior build quality every time I roll a snare or hit an open HH.
Glad to be here, and can't wait to keep learning more and more bc there's so much I still don't even know about as far as the capabilities of this machine goes.
