No go for me. Crashes too often on MPC Live gen 1

Here are the two big “no go for me” list items

- from sampler, record a sample. Select “None” as drum program, “keep” sample. Your MPC has now crashed

- From a new default template project, with just 1 program (Drum Program001) go to sampler and record a sample and assign it to a pad. “Keep sample” then check Pad Assign view. You will see that your sample is saved but not assigned to any pad.

First first drum program, regardless of whether you delete it or rename it or put samples on some of the pads… it can’t have samples assigned to the pads from the sampler. A very serious bug IMO making it capable of using one less program and it’s a huge pain in the ass.

For my “runner up” no go item… . The new project button is by default placed in a very inconvenient place near the bottom of the screen in the menu… I accidentally hit it twice which cost me time and lost unsaved work. Never had that happen in 2.10.

For me the new plugins / effects are not worth the upgrade for the reduced stability. I just went out and bought a turntable… boom now I have “vinyl flavor” at my fingertips lol. I can just hook up in controller mode and use the Arturia fx collection anyway…

— I moved the default project button but when I restarted my MPC it was back in the original place lol.

— the sample assign bug happens in any template or project. Your first drum program can’t have samples assigned from sampler / looper. What you need to do is create a second drum program and it will work. For the week or two that I used 2.11.1 and then the few days I used 2.11.2 before rolling back I was just naming the first drum program “ “ (empty space) and then creating a new one… super annoying. Could have made a template I guess but I’m a simple man lmfao

He's right...It doesn't assign to the Pad from the Sampler Screen.

Is it worth NOT Upgrading to 2.11.....YES its worth Upgrading

Takes Point 2 Seconds to Drag the Sample to the Appropriate Pad lol

Not happening for me, 2.11.2

Again, I cannot replicate this here and am not aware of this being reported on the bug tracker.

Not saving the menu rearrangement sounds like a preferences file issue. This can normally be fixed with 'menu > preferences > info > reset preferences'. It might also fix the other problem for you.

Beyond that, hang tight, Akai are working on various fixes as we speak.

Its A Go For me. That's because I can Make Beats on 2.3 firmware. I personally haven't experienced the Poppin with Choppin Samples. If I experience "Popping", I just Zero Snap the Sample and Adjust accordingly. I

The popping has nothing to do with zero points, this isn't a simple looping issue or we'd all be done with it.

I just tried to duplicate the same popping problem with a guy in the FB group. With his scenario, I was able to smooth out the "Popping" with turning off the Zero Snap, Adjusting the Crossfade, and fine tuning the Loop/End Points.

It Probably depends on the Sample itself tho, when dealing with the Zero Snap.

I believe you guys

Yeah does it here on non looped one shots. Only way to not get the pops is to set they keygroups AND the program itself to polyphonic.
