MPC Live 2 Questions coming from a MPC Studio

I have a MPC Studio (1st gen), and I actually love it. The only con is probably not having a tilt screen, but as for everything else, it fits nicely.

I am thinking of getting a live 2, and I wanted to know are the pads the same size, or smaller? I tried the mpc one and the pads were too small for me, plus the screen positioning always had me tilting my head.

Also, is it worth getting or keeping my mpc studio? I was able to get a ren last week as well, and it still holds up imo till this day.

Same size pads. I went from the Studio Black to the OG Live, was a great 'upgrade'. Although, I do miss the hands on of the Studio. I got to the point where I only needed to use the computer to like change file names or those functions it MADE you use the keyboard for. Took a bit to get used to having to menu dive and touch the screen all the time on the Live, but nowadays it's like second nature. I put my studio away in its bag the night I brought the Live home and it's been there ever since almost 3 years ago. Don't have any inclination to use it at all anymore. The MPC software is horrible compared to any other application and using it on the standalone hardware is a night and day experience once you get over not being able to use VST plugins. I've got Cubase Pro, Ableton Live Suite and Logic Pro, so there is absolutely no need for the MPC software with one of the standalone units.
