Program cut offs

Hi guys,

I recently moved to an mpc live from using a 2500 with jjos. I want to know if there is a way to have pads from the same programs, but on different tracks not cut each other off in mono.
do I have to duplicate the sample and then create a new program for the duplicate to achieve this?
On jjos if the program is in mono instead of poly, the pads on track one cut each other off, but if I move to track 2 the pads on track 2 cut each other off, but they have no effect on the pads in track one.
Am I missing something really basic here?

Copy the program, no need to copy all of the samples.

I suggest make another Program. The easiest way
