Hello,

A doubt about how to disable Generate Random Events.

Drum Track > Preferences > Humanize

There is a option (box to check) to enable or disable this function.

Drum Track > Preferences > Generate Random Events

But for Generate Random Events, these box does not exists. So after trying or experimenting some randomic events, if not happy with the results, how to disable this function?

Thank you friends!!!
Big hugs,
R.

Just realize it is not keep randomizing the pattern, it just create new notes on Program Pattern.

Maybe this function should be called Destroying Drums Programs, and not Randomize, it is not keeping nothing in random mode.

Moderators, you can delete this topic, if you think necessary. Thank you!!!

Just closing the 'generate random events' window exits it. You have to either hit undo or manually select all events to remove those notes that are generated.

I find it easier to create a duplicate track to generate the random notes on, then if I'm not happy I can just clear the track.

You also have a random option in the arp that you can use with pad perform mode. You can use it with chords or singles noes. Works really nice for creating lively drum patterns. I find the generate random events a useless tool because its so random. But the random arp and pad perform mode makes things more controllable. A warning though, I seem to get a lot of crashes with the random arp so save often when you are playing with it.

Crash EVERYTIME I’ve ever decided to try out random, human, ratchet. I’m glad I never cared for or it it was ever an important part of my process.

I crash 100 percent of the time using random arp if using it for more than 5 mins. I use as a touch a go thing. Its so great for hats and the with progressions it can be amazing but the moment you start having real fun with it, crash. Such a shame really.
