Im not a heavy user but it seems work better in controller mode with studio one than before. Made some beats for past few hours without any crash or cpu spikes, or even freeze whole computer.
I almost switch daw because of sudden shut down or freeze but it seems more stable overall. And easy to make keygroup is nice bonus :smoker:
Mac studio
Monterey 12.3
Studio one 5.5

I've just updated to 2.11.4 and the looper bug is still persisting on the MPC One.

Super frustrating that there's zero customer support (outside of getting spammed by emails advertising the extortionate new plug ins).

On my MPC One it also works again with 2.11.4, maybe try with an empty project..

Well because Akai seem to not be able to bring out a decent update for the last year or so, I've decided to move the MPC off my main desk. I will be working from the SP404mk2 and S2400 along with various other equipment. As much as the Love the MPCX, It's just not doing it for me right now. I have the best time with it when its Paired up with my Akai S900, so I'm gonna park its ass on top of it. I will definitely be using it, and finishing projects up with it, but I got a workflow going that I enjoy and its more or less without it.
I'll probably go back once they figure out there sh*t. Maybe whenever the new MPCXL or whatever comes out they will have things more locked down. All I know is that I will not give Akai another dime of my money unless its for some of there Vintage gear before 94/96... My two cents....

Gave it another try after reading your comment, after a bit of messing about it seemed to work.

What appears to happen is if you use the 'double tap' on a key to access a secondary function the looper stops immediately, but if you use the shift key it doesn't.

So for instance, my workflow is to use the looper to record xy automation on a loop to make it into a longer section of a beat. My usual method would be setting everything up the on looper to loop a 4 bar beat, double tapping the xyfx button, doing my thing in there, and then double tapping back to the looper screen. This stops the looper dead.

Seeing your comment made me persist and I just happened to use the shift key once and it didn't stop.

Good enough for me to get back to doing what I was doing before, thanks!

Edit: A bit of further testing. Seems to be that it is only double tapping back to the looper screen that stops it, moving to another screen this way keeps it running.

Has anyone managed to update using the Online Update option yet? I keep checking but message says “you are on the latest version” when, er, I know I’m not. Don’t mind updating via USB stick like I normally do but I thought online updates were now a thing I could (kinda) depend on.

My 2 cent response is Akai are going after new markets and at the same time changing basic design because its a bit of a user interface mess. We all should pick an OS version which does what we want and use it bugs and all. Every MPC had broken or missing features, its nothing new. Personally as a very new user, I prefer 2.11 over 2.10 and I'm just accepting what it does.

This! Unless an off option is creating problems, I don't get it. I don't see how anyone thought this was a good idea.

Can any beta testers provide feedback? Was this a topic of discussion? Was there a survey?
