Hi All.
My MPC Live II is suddenly behaving differently.
For the past 12 months, I've been going into 'Sampler' mode to record a sound and assign it to a pad. Once the sound is recorded, the options coming up were 'Discard' or 'Keep'. From 'Keep' I'd select a pad and the sound would automatically assign to the correlating pad.
All of a sudden the options have changed from 'Discard' or 'Keep' to 'Discard' or 'Create'. The work-around solution I've found is to record the sound in Sampler mode then click on 'Create New Program' and select 'Off'. Then the options will change back to 'Discard' or 'Keep'. Even then I can't assign it to a pad by selecting a pad. I have to go into the browse menu, click assign then scroll through the menu to assign it to a pad.
But even with this work around, the next time I record a sample, under the 'Create New Program' menu it's now defaulted to 'Off' but it still won't allow the 'Keep' function. I have to select 'Create New Program' > 'With Non Destructive Slices' > 'Create New Program' (again) and then 'Off' (again). Only then do I get the option to 'Keep' the sample.
(The discard option btw does absolutely nothing).
For someone who samples up to fifty sounds per project, it's wasting a lot of time and killing the flow.
Why did this suddenly change without having updated or even connecting to a computer? More importantly - How can I change the settings to how they used to be so that I have the 'Keep' options as a default every time I record a sample?
