MPC One live usage alternative

Hey MPC forum community. I've been using my MPC One since it hit the market & have systematically built up a steady flow of music making output on it, much like i did with my 2000XL. While I love generating new tracks on the One I just can't depend on it in a live PA setting. Whether it's within a minute or 5 to 15 minutes, the One's CPU usage skyrockets & suddenly both sound & timing are effected. For the record I use my own program samples only & i use no built in plugins or effects on the One, yet still the One shits itself rendering it useless as a live workhorse in a gig/performance setting. Would I be better off using the One in controller mode along with MPC Beats on my Macbook? My initial reason for buying the One was to get back to jamming on the fly minus a computer, and using the One live with no laptop needed in my live rig, but it seems I just can't do this on the One in standalone mode. Below is a short live mix of my tunes I managed to do on the One until it suddenly stopped on its own up at the end. This is nothing but the One, no external midi gear being sequenced, and of course no plugins used just to give you guys an example to what degree I use the One in:

Try to press STOP twice in a short lapse. Like "double clicking stop" reinitializes the audio engine and CPU decrease to it's normal level.

In my long and full projects, I do this once in a while while gigging, it couls be a "half measure break" you stop on third step pressing two times stop then play on next bar ... And CPU stays cool ( I'm on Live 1 but the same problem with big projects, and above all I think it's caused by Delays FX on returns)

Interesting..Will give your method a go. I notice there's an audible popping sound just before the One 'resets' itself.

the thing you describe is very unusual... how many tracks a typical set of yours involves???
i play gigs with both samples and plugin instruments, and use quite a lot of internal effects (especially Air effects which are heavier on the cpu i suppose) but never experienced such a behaviour.
i must add i own a Live mk1, but in theory cpu,ram and software are the same.
have you tried resetting preferences?

Haven't tried preference reset. I'll give it a try... As far as tracks go it doesn't make a difference whether i'm using a few or many. The One still displays CPU overload then massive latency issues along with audio clipping/distortion, then locking up until it resets itself with an audio popping sound. At this point i just plow through my live set as usual until it fails on me. I can use the One for producing individual tracks, but never for a live PA.
