Now that would be something. Imagine just how much things would open up with a MPC4K style mod matrix. Makes my head spin.

Then again I would have to take back a lot of the bad things I've said about Akai the last couple of years. Hmm..

Alot of us would have to take bacc crazy shit we’ve said. If mpc x ends up with some of the finer/better features of the 4k I’d be happy to take all the bad words back. Of course I’d want them bug free or as close to it as they could get.

Same here. I will gladly eat my words and kiss Akai's butt big time haha. A mod matrix of some sort (and hopefully one more LFO or assignable envelope) would give my E6400 a run for its money, and I honestly would probably start using the MPC solely for everything at that point. Although, those EMU filters are still the bees knees for my floor shaking Jungle basses, I think I can wing it with just the MPC honestly (I usually do most of my writing first and THEN move stuff to the EMU). It all goes into Cubase in the end to **** with anyways. :smoker:

Dunno,i just went to my LFO and it was free running-meaning it was triggering on the LFO shape rather than the usual resetting on each hit.I did not do anything.Ive posted about it on 3 forums but nobody is responding/clarifying!!!!!!! as its not documented and 0 people mentioned it ever working.

It definitely works once set, but it's working out how to set it in the first place. Other than editing the XPM file directly, I can't see any way to do this. Can you remember how the keygroup program was created? Was it a 'pad to keygroup' instrument, or some other automated way like autosampler? Hitting the '+' button on the program row in main? Hitting the 'keygroup' icon in MAIN?

Without manually modifying the XPM file? :hmmm:

I dont have the driver or anything installed on my old MBP with Catalina. But i had beats loaded and the pads worked.Still got that note and free boxes on the beats. What i dont get is why if its working perfectly on mine why they dont make it available???? Makes a huge difference

Meaning the free running LFO will reset if you switch LFO shape?

Nop,if you set the LFO for instance pitch/filter/amp/pan and play a snare, every time it hits it with be different.Depending on the LFO shape and rate.instead of resetting on each hit as in all MPCs apart from MPC4000 which has the extended LFO/modulation features.

Edit-rereading your question,it does not reset while changing the shape.just follows the new shape.

Would you be willing to post an audio example of how you're utilizing this feature? I mean, if it's not too much trouble anway.
