Any ETA on when Sweetwater ships the Key 61?

That is one reason I'm really not crazy about this new plug in way they are doing it..
For instance, personally I bought the bundle because I love my live 2 and didn't need the keyboard. Things have changed now though, my situation is different and I would actually need something like the keys.. I would buy it, but now I never would buy the keys because I could never get the value in it because I already bought the plug ins so that would be a waste..
So instead I will need to find something else like a fantom.. so for me, akai lost a big chunk of money because the way they chose to do this.

You said it ! I can’t see how they will resolve this issue easily either.

You can however sell you licenses and delete the plugin from your devices. Purchase the gear you want. Keys61 plugins comes with the ability to reinstall to your Live again also.
I was erroneous in my thinking, ELight corrected me irt installs of plugins to other devices than Keys61.

Perfectly doable if you sell off your old and gain the new.

Oh I don't blame them, I'm just explaining why I will never buy the keys. Why would I go to all that effort? I would rather buy a fantom and get all those new sounds. I'm saying I would have bought the keys if I didn't already buy the plug ins.. it is not up to me how Akai markets their plug ins, but they could have had much more money from me had they done it different. That's all I'm saying.

Just curious - did you end up getting two (2) keys for OPx-4. since you had bought it first, but also should have gotten another copy with the Key 61?

I got my Key 61 last night, and Yes, I have a second key for OPx-4.
When registering there is a note, Your purchase of MPC Key 61 includes an additional license of the Fabric Collection to use on your other MPC Devices and MPC Software.
Then it lists the Fabric, Organ, OPX-4, Stage Piano, and Stage EP.

But if you sell the keys the new owner will probably want all three of the possible unit keys, so you probably need to give it back.

Can the same mpc serial number be registered twice? If so that is kinda crazy.. then technically one mpc could make hundreds of plug ins!! Lol

The Renaissance and studios definitely could be be registered more than once. Not sure about the newer stuff.

There is a video going around of a new os, might be a beta version, but had a demo of a new minimoog plug in. Sounds pretty great too!! I'm not super excited in spending more on this thing though..
