Twice now MPC 2.11.4 has frozen for a minute after turn on

I heard people say the MPC freezes but twice spread over a few weeks, the MPC boots to the main screen, I go to Browse and it freezes for about a minute then everything is OK. I think its doing something and its too busy. Yet I could switch to the browse page just fine. Its like a disk check or reindex something like that. Just me?

Works ok in standalone..

Yes I reset preferences when I installed 2.11.4

I only use a sata drive internally. I use usb sticks to transfer files, but there is never a USB stick connected when I power on.

I did have the usb to computer cable connected. I'll have the computer usb cable disconnected and see.
