Can't play any mp3 or wav files from my new SD card?

New here but I've had an MPC Live 2 since December 2021. I cannot hear any mp3 or wav files both in the browser menu and in the sample editor. I tried multiple audio files including some of my own music exported from logic and still no dice. I want to be able to chop up songs and when I use the sample editor I can see the wave form but I hear nothing. In the browser menu and sample editor all of my expansion play and load up perfectly fine.

Here is what I'm working with

MPC Live II
Sandisk Extreme Pro 128GB formatted to ExFAT
The card is not even remotely full
I am on the last update for MPC Software (waiting out for the bugs to be fixed for the newest update)
In the SD card I have 3 folders where I store my expansions, synths, and audio files seperately
I called technical support and they suggest just updating to the newest MPC firmware. They didn't know what to do when I told them that I see the wave form in the sample editor but I hear nothing.
I made sure all of my volumes were up and that I am using speaker mode. I've tried headphone mode as well.

I've barely touched this thing because I bought it to mainly chop up samples. It's super frustrating because I've followed many Youtube videos from Ave Mcree and he can hear files directly from his browser. I simply don't know what I am doing wrong. Thanks for the support everyone. I've done my research but as a new user I'm tapped out so I thought I'd reach out to you all.

Resetting preferences is going to do nothing apart from, reset your preferences

All that's retained in that file are things like default tempo, WiFi settings, and basic project stuff. All youre really doing there is making yourself have to re do all those things.In fact the releases are designed not to reset them, because that would really annoy people
