Hi

I've dabbled and struggled with the PC ecosphere (dabbled and struggled with pretty much everything tbh) using Live 1 and 2

I got the mpc keys and am currently doing much better going through Akai Manual + Bible
More focus from me + more hands on practice / trying things + i must have picked up a few things on previous attempts which make more sense = it all fists together much clearer now

(Sidetrack - i don't know why the MPC keys should be a substantially different experience vs MPCL/MPC1 and a KB controller but it's really working for me atm)

Anyway Problem: I reached the Clip Programs sections in the manual/bible and they are not there on my MPC Keys - no big icon in places - no folder anywhere etc

I have studied the posts on Missing Content / Restoring Content / Do not ever delete installed content ...... and i swear i didn't delete anything
(ok ok maybe I did play around with the Splice download folder / location moving it to installed SSD hard drive that was in my former MPCL2 - then back again - and that is functioning fine - everything else is functioning great)

I have of course submitted a ticket (3 days and counting) and tried to locate an Australian AkaiPro support number (I got one for just "Akai" who were more about domestic appliances) -- I'm happy to ring any Support Number in any worldwide location that might put me in touch with an informed MPC technician

There's so much more to learn without Clip Programs of course, but it would be helpful to me on my learning curve to have them, and from an OCD perspective I feel my MPC Keys is incomplete

Any helpful thoughts or suggestions appreciated!

Apologies in advance if this is a dumb question

Do you mean there's no clips included in the factory library? The MPC Key probably doesn't include any clips. The MPC One doesn't either - in the 'content' tab in the browser, there's drums, instruments, samples, my files, demos, splice. No clips.

On my MPC Live, there is a 'clips' icon (instead of the demos icon). This does lead to some dedicated clip programs. But each MPC has different factory content.

But 'clips' on an MPC are just audio loops, any loops will do. I cover clip programs briefly in in the MPC Bible if you need some guidance for triggering loops within them, but TBH clips are so half hearted in the MPC, I just don't think many people use them. I suspect that's why they've stopped bothering with dedicated clips library content.

Clips in the Force are a different proposition.

Did you register your new MPC Key 61 with your InMusic/Akai account? If so, go into "My Registered Products", then tap "SEE ALL YOUR PRODUCT REGISTRATIONS", then find your registered MPC Key 61 and select "VIEW DOWNLOADS". On the right, under "Software Downloads" you should have a multitude of content, including some Expansions that aren't installed by default. You might look into installing those Expansions onto your user attached storage (never factory storage!!!) for some more free content as well. Can't remember if any of those have any Clip Programs on there, but as Tudor said - literally *ANY* sample can be loaded into a Clip Program and launched in time with your Project. Just try to find sample content that loops perfectly.

* Edit: also, you mentioned that you (had?) an MPC Live or One at some point? If you registered those, you'll still have access to all of the additional content that came with them as well. Somewhere in there should be the "MPC 2.0 Clip Launch Pack ".

Hi,
In your Account at Akai (for the Mpc Key ) you have to Download First the Software Manager.
When you Open the Software Manager you will See some expansions that you have to Download
And Install on your PC and then when you Start the Mpc two Software you can now Transfer the
Expansions to the Mpc Key 61....
There are Clip Programms on the Mpc Key 61...

Thanks - very helpful. Interestingly I can indeed still download an MPCLive demo projects and templates folder from my account but the downloaded folder is MPC One demos - and as discussed the MPC1 doesnt have the Clips. i'll have another hunt around the downloads section but good to know my MPC keys isn't missing something it should have. Thank you all
