hi all,

I seem to understand that MPC4000 had some sort of microtuning capabilities i.e. the ability to specify the tuning of the intervals of a scale, save them and load them.

It seems that this feature is absent from Standalone modern units, or am I mistaken?

I suppose one could tune the single notes of a KeyGroup but there seems to be no way of saving the tuning scheme as a template and doing so for many KeyGroups would be very time consuming.

But maybe people have found a workaround to this?

Thanks!

You can "Semi" tune Multiple Notes in Program Edit

Thanks for replying.
Yes I think I understand what you saying but imagine this scenario: I have a KeyGroup (or a program) that I want to microtune, lets say I want the G note to be 15 cents sharper, the A note to be 2 cents flat and so on, then I need to do the same for all the other programs or keygroups in the project, it becomes very time consuming, it would be great if one could set up a template and then apply it to keygroups or programs. It could be easily integrated in the "pad perform" section, where one could customize scales for example, not only determining the general intervals but also the fine tuning of each interval

Don't give Akai anymore ideas. They already broke pad perform with 2.11, if they add anything new to it, knowing their track record, it'll probably render the actual audio engine useless this time.

Yes and no. Technically its the name of my old band (which was hugely influenced by Godflesh), I've been using it as a username since like 2004 or so heh. But we did take it from there.
