Here's a video of my MPC LIve 2 with a non-reponsive screen.

A few weeks ago, all worked well, then the problems started when at times the screen would not respond. A few reboots and it usually started working. Now I can't get in.

Last time the MPC worked I tried to reset preferences, upgrade and downgrade firmware. No difference. No SD card in the slot, no USB, no harddrive.

I am suspecting that the internal SD card is failing as I've read somewhere that these type of issues can pop up.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

You May need a New LCD Screen? Me...I would open up that thing, and Re-Seat the LCD Ribbon Cable.

Are you in the EU? Then the legal warranty is at least 2 years ( 4 years in case of hidden defects, but then the burden is on you to prove it).

I would not do anything but contact your AKAI retailers and send the device back for repair. Opening the device can void the warranty.

If not under warranty, the first thing to do obviously is to phone to AKAI local distributor, or InMusic AKAIPro itself to get the support you might need.

If not under warranty, then there's no harm in opening the case and making sure the touch screen ribbon cable is re-seated, though - yes? :hmmm: No clue if the OP's Live 2 is still under warranty. I had a 2 year warranty on mine, and it expired this past spring.
