Hey all, I woke up to my MPC Live 2 not working. It goes to the Logo Screen and just stops there. I'm able to long press the power button to turn it off but it goes back on with the same problem.
I bought it new 2 months ago.

Is there a physical way to manually reset the live 2?
Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm thinking of abandoning Akai products all together at this point. Their customer service is virtually non-existent.

After you get it goin, check to see how full your Internal Drive is. Hopefully you haven't deleted any factory content?

if you have any other devices connected or any media attached (sata/sd/usb) try unplugging them before powering on

also, if you can get it into update mode (there is a button combination to do this) you can try reinstalling the latest build from your computer

I disconnected everything. I then tried update mode (Both controller and stand alone) and it just stays on the update screen.

Did you actually put in a USB drive of some sort that had an update on it? Otherwise Update Mode will do exactly what you describe since it has no update to apply.

Hi!

Try these:

hold down record + stop + play start buttons down, then press the power button - it should then enter update mode and reinstall.

16 step + c + next seq - 'should' boot into update mode also.

Almost forgot.

On MPC ONE the combination to enter fastboot is: hold down FULL LEVEL, BROWSE and PAD BANK C. and then press power on.

for those of you are familiar with fastboot from android here is a more detailed desciption on unbricking your mpc using fastboot and some scripts.

(word to the wise do not tamper with stuff other than the rootfs!!)
