feature request: Set note length in Step sequencer

I think it would be really nice if it would be possible to set your note length in the Step sequencer.
For instance if you hold Pad select and then press a pad as long as you want the note to be, so you select your pad and your note length in one move. And maybe if there would be some snapping option as well so it snaps to exact lengths if you want. That would be really nice

Yeah, I also think it would be really nice to do that. The step sequencer definitely would need a complete redesign, for example that you can switch to an overview perspective where you can see more pads alligned horizontally in a grid..
