MIDI keyboards with functional transport controls for MPC ?

Which MIDI keyboards have transport buttons that are functional as MPC transport controls out of the box ?

Not the Launchkey. Some Akai MPK have transport buttons, but do they work with MPC ? Someone has been tearing their hair out with an Alesis VI25. Any others ? Maybe M-Audio which, like Akai, is part of the inMusic group ?

Should a future update let the MPC emulate Ableton Link, to take advantage of all the peripherals that support it ?

I don't believe any MIDI controller has working transport controls out of the box for MPCs.

Without a global MIDI learn function, doing anything other than note input from a controller will be tough.

although NOVATION claims compability with MMC & AKAI is claiming that too, i can't let the 2 brothers talk together in that domain
there was somebody in this forum subsection that could control (start/stop etc) his MPC from a footpedal

a decent MIDI specification chart could help a lot but AKAI refuses to publish it

Turn on MMC, and if the controller supports MMC, it will work. I use a Disaster Area MIDI Baby pedal as a start/stop pedal.

yep, this. i use an AKAI mpk225. play/stop/rec controls all work w/mpcOne, just had to turn on MMC.
