Funny thing, the person in this video hits their pads VERY softly...
Akai is like"you have to hit them with more force" and then sends a video of a person barely caressing them...
BTW, my mpc one would doubletrigger and choke to no end if I hit the pads the way this person hits the pads... now I think MY unit has something wrong lol..

There you go, there is absolutely no way they can argue with that. Clearly something wrong with your MPC, I don't think they can claim that's 'as designed'. Just be careful they don't send you a refurbed unit back.

I actually have 2 pads that are fine so im guessing Akai have included 14 pads for nuanced performance and the other 2 for?!

Played firmly as they suggested and this happens to screen
Its laughable at this point tbh

If you have an MPC with defective pads, how you are hitting them doesn't matter. I tried every imaginable technique, and more, for hours. On the desk, on your lap, on your official AKAI dealer's bench demonstrating it to their tech, doesn't matter, I did all of that. On two different defective MPC Ones.

Good luck getting an answer from AKAI support, I sent them everything they asked for, videos ,serials, detailed reproduction instructions, never heard back from them.

So here is something weird: I tried to log in to check the status of my ticket, for the laughs. I didn't remember my account password, I asked for a reset and entered my email, got the following error message:

"You are not authorised to access this portal. Kindly contact your helpdesk administrator."

When you any random or impossible email, it just tells you "we sent you instructions" etc as normal. So it appears that this is something special just for me. I don't even want to speculate as to what the hell might be going on with AKAI support. Last time they communicated with me, it was to my account email as normal.

Edit: Just for everyone's information, because this is new to me for 2022: If you make a new ticket, they have a system that detects key phrases that might be related to topics covered in the frequently asked questions. So if you contact technical support for just about anything, your support ticket is blocked and they tell you instead (via email) to contact them again if you want your case to actually reach support.

This is when you make a technical support ticket, and these are in their own category that you have to navigate to and they are very specific, asking you for every detail down to the serial number of your device. Not talking about a generic "how do I log in" ticket.
