Hi beginner here,
I'm using a MPC One v2.9.1 and a Akai MPK Mini controller.
What I would like to do is, after I sample something off a record from the Line inputs, I want to be able to then playback that sample on my midi keyboard, in full octave. By playback, I mean I want to press the middle C key which should play the sample in the same octave as I sampled it, then the octave of the sample should go down as I press the lower keys, and the octave should go up as I press the higher keys.
How would I set this up?

Thank you

Thank you, I think I got it working with a keygroup program.
Follow up question on this...
If I wanted the same recorded sample to be a keygroup (so I can play the octave), AND, also be able to chop up the sample (in the same octave), would I need to somehow "duplicate" the sample first? So it would be two files in RAM? How do you do that?

MENU
SAMPLE EDIT
scroll to your sample
PROCESS (bottom right)
scroll to COPY
do it
(This creates an independent physical copy of the original)
assign that copy to a DRUM PROGRAM
chop it, do whatever you want, it will not affect the original sample

The minute you start chopping and messing with the same og sample there will problems if it's assigned to 2 diff programs.

Duplicate it.
