I was wondering that too.

That's incorrect. There is a new MPC coming out soon, and they already posted the FCC submission for the new MPC XL earlier in the year. So we expect the new MPC XL to be here sometime in the future, could be soon maybe before Xmas or maybe before NAMM 2023 or a little later .

That’s awesome, didn’t know that..

Edit: I don’t find anything about that fcc, could you send me the link or something?

The link to the XL FCC link was posted here too from the Facebook and Hacker site post. You may be able to do a search here on the Key 61 or MPC Expansion threads from June 2022 to find it. I saw it in the Facebook's " Mpc Live X Force and Key hacking modding custom" group page.

The MPC and Force 6 are two different beast. Both are different from each other in looks and design. Key 61 was never a Force in it's initial mock up, it's just people couldn't understand they are making two totally different keyboards with two totally different names printed directly on the front of two different keyboards. That is what the observer must focus on instead of bypassing the actual information and evidence to come up with their own stories. With the new Akai leadership and from heavy competition from Native Instruments, it's just they have decided to develop totally new ideas to expand their brand, and increase the revenue for the company. Akai is building the what took so long to make products to support the MPC ecosystem to keep up or stay ahead of Native Instruments. But the Force 6 Keyboard is already a completed design, so I'm sure they're much further down the road to completion then they were a year ago.

I think it will be a x basically with 4gb and some extra plug ins maybe, in a retro color way. Maybe the new plug ins will only work on the 4gb models.. knowing Akai probably not though.

So far plugins are tied to firmware version not gb.
Seeing how Keys61 went to 4gb, it’s possible for any other future machine to do the same.
Don’t want my machines all looking like a 2kxl.

Great! I feared I was the only one with an aching back after a session with an MPC One.

Not great
That shits uncomfortable.

Also not a fan of the X’s flimsy screen, how it never completely locks in when it’s at an angle. Mine rocks and and forth a bit each time I hit a pad

tbh the last thing I find filed with FCC is the Key61. If you have the FCC link or the complete Y4O-XXXX that would be great. I am not on Facebook and searching 2-letter queries is not possible in this forum and the only thing I find here anyways is speculations that there is an FCC id for an XL and that somebody found something in the source code but nobody ever posted an FCC link or number yet. So this sounds fishy to me at best at the moment.

Dude, why you doubt what someone told you they've seen with their own eyes? The link was posted here in July and several other places. Plus I saw it myself on the FCC website. I assume Akai may have persuaded that FB group and the hacker site to remove the FCC link for one reason or another. I don't know if the FCC still has the original reference because I don't remember the codes used. But the FB post that provided the link is gone. The hacker website may have removed their reference too, so it looks like Akai stepped in on that for whatever reason, because all of the references are now disappeared. As an unexpected revealing of a new MPC XL being on the horizon is an economic threat to the Key 61 sales and potential sales of current MPC products as some would rather wait on that instead of buying what's available, figuring they now have a choice of a new unit coming on the market at the same time.

Post from the original discussion.

I know about that thread. Posted in it myself. Lots of speculation and people asking for features they could easily get by buying a laptop and an Akai studio lol. But no real info about an XL. But as long as there is no FCC filing I do not have high hopes for a new model within the next month. Might be wrong here but at the moment it feels like the hyped Ableton Push 3 about to release in a month since a couple of years. And yes I also would not say no to an MPC with more ram and a better cpu. But I have yet to hit any boundaries here. With their new plugins this might change soon though. We‘ll see. In the meantime still hoping for someone to post an fcc filing here :smoker:

You don't know about that thread. You're hallucinating talking up under your breath and thinking you posted in that thread and your name is nowhere to be found in that thread. You're worried making up all this silly stuff about you don't believe this and that in this foolishness when all the proof you need to see and hear is in that thread itself, aside from someone telling you the situation. If this is how you go about your daily life, It might be less stressful to to seek some type of professional assistance in your free time to help you deal with real life scenarios. Don't come back to tell me that you also landed on the Moon with Buzz Aldrin in 1966, and expect me to believe you without pictures from your phone camera.

I know about this thread. But yeah you are right, I didn't post there. I mixed that up with another thread. But yeah didn't post there. Sorry, my bad. People err all the time. Especially when it's about memories. So I am no different. What else is new.

But wow, getting all passive aggressive for being asked a question? You can do that bro. But then you will be doubted even more the next time.
Don't get mad at me for not tripping up on every rumour where there are plenty every day. It's like a drug people like to get all high on and be indignant at people daring to ask a critical question and then react much like in this gif, lol

MY RUMOURS!!! Image

So it's a rumour, calm down buddy.

And I was just asking a simple question that would have made the rumour more reality. Maybe you do a reality check yourself more often and don't believe the hype until there is more than just some random string in some disassembled code that might also just be an internal test or some Akai dev trolling you. Not saying that there won't be a new MPC at some point, too. But there is NOTHING yet that makes it feel real. Forgive me if I don't trip on rumours and have a hard time getting emotional about people I don't even know trying to sell me some wannabe-truth. And especially it's not about you. It's about the rumours as such. And now back to real world topics. Have a nice day :)

At least I hope for that NOT to be the case. For starters a completely new OS would be as basic as it gets because I don't think they would wait until the OS is "done" or at least on par with the current one feature wise. Also why would you want an incompatible or completely new OS? From a software dev and an economic standpoint that would not make sense at all tbh.

Exactly! The MPC Line NEEDS a Basic restart to their OS Firmware. Next Generation Hardware to Handle Next Generation requirements. Everyone wants the Current MPC line to perform like a Desktop. The Hardware is more than Five Years Old. That's Primitive as far as technology is concerned. New Technology, New Revenue Stream. Makes "Cents" To Me tbh

This stuff is funny. You're in fantasy land with this. You asked a simple question -- was there a new MPC filing with the FCC, I told you yes, from seeing the filing. Then you go off on this conspiracy theory belief, to totally disregard a whole thread dedicated to that filing with new made up doubt, which is kinda silly.

Why are you not like the normal person who believe folks from eyewitness accounts? Or just view the thread of others who also saw the FCC filing and just called it the day? You carry on like the kids that ride to school in that short yellow bus behind the regular bus because you seem to struggle with evidence that solves the questions or problems posed unto you.

You claim is, it is a rumor. No it's not a rumor, it was an FCC filing. You fail to accept the facts, and that's the root of your problem. And I'm not mad at you, I assume you're a cool dude, I'm just amazed that someone lacks so much basic commonsense which is extremely critical and can be deadly in critical situations in real life.

Imagine Paul Revere after seeing the British Troops with his own eyes running through the city hollering the "The British are coming The British are coming!

Then You in your present state of mind: You then start telling people after Paul left to start sowing doubt among the population because of the way you reason, telling all the people, I'm not gonna believe it, and you all shouldn't believe it until you see them with your own eyes, or see it for yourself, and by that time, when you actually does see them, you're slaughtered. The troops arrives on your inability to reason like the average person, and you get a whole army and town caught off guard by the way you demonstrate your basic thinking pattern here. You put doubt over reason, and over actuality, and that type of thinking can be problematic in real life. And you claiming you posted in that thread just confirms everything I said here, your brain doesn't connect way a normal one does in real life. lol You don't seem to have total control of important parts of the reasoning process that allow you to confirm or verify sources for the correct answer, and instead that allow you to harbor the wrong answer and thought over the more rational thought that leads to the correct actions. So in a friendly way I just pointed out how you just talk without thinking, and in this situation all you could've done was read that post and the things people said in it, confirmed a former link, and just accept it was already an FCC filing viewed by many instead of thinking all the people didn't see an FCC filing.

But you bypassed all that, and didn't even confirm if you actually read or wrote in that post, or what you might have said in it, to throw up more fluff more doubt and conspiracy theories as if this is Area 51 or a wrecked spaceship in New Mexico in a top secret martian research center. That's all, It's never any hard feelings or anything like that. It's just a friendly talk about your ET conspiracy theories.
