Hi I have a brand new mpc but after doing the 1st update the touchscreen no longer boots up! The mpc logo comes on the screen when I initially switch on the machine but then just goes blank and I can't use it for anything. This is desperately annoying as it's brand new! Any help would be massively appreciated

Try the controller update mode
Full level + Browse + Pad Bank C + power button

or standalone update mode
Rec + Stop + play Start + power button

and reinstall the firmware.

Not very polite, I would say - kaydigi is 12 years in this forum.

What if the production is degrading - 'cause new elements or simply cheap stuff is leading to it?
Maybe it is just user errors....

If you buy a car and the wheels fall off after a few miles - would you say the same?

EDIT: I own a Korg M3 - a well known issue was the low quality of the touch screen - I took the whole synth appart and replaced successfully the touch panel - as an example.

Not sure they were being unpolite. Sounded very much like they were taking an objective position on this. Each of the new units has had a batch that has had hardware issues. This doesn't mean that it's the rule. It's more likely the exception.

I'm also unsure as to why the length of time you've been a member here, has any relation to how you interact with a statement...

Didn’t mean to stir up anything just between here and Reddit I see a lot of crashing MPC One post . Either when installing a new firmware or just randomly when the user boots up the machine. But hopefully it’s only the complaining post we see and not the happy peeps .

I have a One sitting in my cart to replace my Ren. I’ll move the ren over to the windows machine and put the one on my M1 Pro.

Same. There has to be something diff, some code in the update specifically for One, something something hardware inside, idk, no fkn clue. But, I see it too.

Lifesaver...just copped a super-cheap MPC One+, knowing that the previous owner had this issue ...fixed like a charm :worthy:
