Do I alreday have the 8-outs???

I bought my MPC fairly used and there is a sticker on it which says MPC 2000xl STUDIO equipped with Eight + Two outputs. Does any-one know if this means it has already been expanded????

look on the back. if the 8 outs are covered then no you don't, if you see 8 outs then yes you do.

it should have them , check on the back and see if theres 8 outputs they are numbered 1-8

I looked on ebay and almost every one i seen had the 8 1/4 jacks but the description said they were not expanded. Are you sure this is an accurate way to tell???

Yea you got em dude but just to be sure go into the mixer section an see if you can highlight them !/2 3/4 5/6 7/8

There probaby refering to the Memory. You cant tell by looking at it. Go in to sample screen (f4) and hit *open window. It will tell you what size your memory is. If it says 32Megabytes installed. That means your memory is expanded, which equals longer sample time. Hope this helps. Let me know if it doesn't.

yeah some ebay sellers don't explicity state that there is an 8 outs board installed... check some of the other ones and compare the back of the 2kXL to see the 8 outs there or not.

but anyways, if you have 8 1/4" jacks then you got it.

yeah, there is mos deff 8 1/4 jacks visible. Thanks for the help.
