Downgrading?

I just installed 2.8.1 (previously had 2.10.1 on ther) and that resulted in an MPC One that would not boot (splash screen then went to dark grey blank screen, no buttons working). I managed to put it into update mode using Full Level+Browse+Bank C whilst powering it on and got 2.10.1 back on there and it's working. Anyone know why 2.8.1 caused it to fail?

Many people thinking it's classic mpc where they can delete all and start from scratch OR just not understanding the architecture itself OR just **** up Akai firmwares.

I'm going to go with all of these BUT, a HEAVIER percentage on Akai **** up firmwares.

I think you're right. You put a card with old firmware in an MPC One and it'll literally ask you if you want to DOWNGRADE, so it knows what it's doing and thinks it should be ok but I reckon it then finds new instruments (from newer firmware) and stuff on there when it reboots and dies.
