Hi All!

I've been exporting all of my MPC projects as individual exploded wav files so that I can work on them in my DAW.

I select 'save' - 'audio mixdown' - 'explode tracks' then select my external drive to save to.

Once I drag those wav files into my daw it all sounds the same as expected, only when I solo each track I find extra ones.

These extra tracks are always percussive and seem to double another track but have only top end. Clicks or pops.
This is very strange as my original tracks don't contain these.

Can anyone explain why this is happening and why it may not affect the overall sound when played all together.

Many thanks in advance and have a great day.

When exploding are you including effects as separate tracks?
Make sure to look at ALL the options in that menu when exploding and saving as audio mixdown.

I don't think I'm exploding effects separately.
The only effects I have are reverbs and delays. They are all being exported together with the original sound.

The extra tracks sound pretty unusual in that they seem to be only the very top end of certain drum tracks and even sometimes two combined tracks.
I've just ignored this in the past and usually keep it in the mix because when I mute/delete those extra tracks it seems to loose a bit of vibe. Small but noticeable.

When exporting, the only box I have checked in the menu is 'explode tracks'. There is an option for 'export returns'. I'm not exactly sure what that is but it's not checked anyway.
