I like the default colour scheme and want it to apply to my own programs. But the red and yellow for kick and snare/clap are brighter when I assign them in comparison to those of the factory programs.

It seems that the shipped one are only a bit dimmed. But on screen I can change the colours not their intensity. There is no way for me to make the colours as dark red and yellow.

Do I miss something?

Masi

PS: Not a deal breaker, but I find it odd that I cannot mimic the factory colour scheme in the pad colour editor.

akai made some changes to the pad colour section with the 2.10 release and one of the side effects was that the pad colours on existing kits were a bit dimmed compared to the way they were on 2.9 or earlier. Reassigning the same colour to a pad put the brightness back to the usual level.

So basically what you are seeing is actually a bug that was introduced in 2.10, the pads were never supposed to be that dim.

So not only did they screw up pad colors/pad perform for keygroups/MIDI instruments/plugins, they broke pad colors for drum programs too? I haven't really noticed them being dimmer, but then again the whole pad perform thing takes away my focus from all kinds of stuff while it's on heh. Shit is so annoying.

Thank you.

A rather odd side effect. At least it didn't do any real harm as others.
