Unable to Bounce to Audio from track.

I’m working my way through the Bible and on chapter 12 when it asks me to bounce the audio from the piano track, my MPC one doesn’t do it.

I saw that someone else had this problem but I have 860 kb of memory free on my internal drive, I can’t imagine it needs more than that to write on?

You should never save anything to your internal drive, ever, with the exception of plugin presets. It does not have enough space for projects and samples, and if it gets too full your system will start misbehaving. As it appears to do now. Get yourself an SSD or a SD card and start putting everything on there.

I have only had my mpc keys for 2 days and have only worked on 1 song. My unit will not bounce either and I doubt its filled up. I also put a fat64 formatted 1tb ssd in it when I set it up. What could my problem be please? I need to bounce a track or two to audio to finish this project. Any help would be appreciated.

There's currently a bug which causes the bounce process to hang, it's likely this. Also, bouncing requires writing of a temporary file to the factory internal drive, so you still need to ensure you have free space on that drive regardless of what other disks you've added to your MPC.

A workaround might be to resample using the sampler. You‘d lose timing position that way, but you could use a workaround using a hihat or snare as sync point in an empty bar before the actual material.

It shows I have 14.1gigs available so I definitely should be able to write a short string stab. Any word on a fix? I'm new to mpc and this seemed like the easiest way to be able to use another sound for another track. Kind of disappointed to be real.

Registered to say the same thing has been happening to me, and I am on the same point in the book. It works with the previous track, but also doesn't work on a track I created unrelated the the MPC Bible tutorial files. I hope they fix this soon.

@Lampdog- I'm going to try this but honestly I'm brand new to mpc so are there some instructions to be found on what this entails? Your help is deeply appreciated. I need to get some more sounds onto this sequence to finish it. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Lampdog but I really just want to create a audio track I can use in the sequence and create more space for internal sounds to be added to my current sequence, As I understand it, when I bounce to audio it creates another track for the sequence that can be sequenced along with the other while creating an open track that I can add midi sounds too (of course I'm new and could have this all wrong). I am operating in standalone mode only not using a daw.On a good note, Akai tech support has responded and told me this is a new report to them. They asked for video and screen shots and said they have duplicated the problem and will fix it. They said they will isolate the issue and send out another update shortly to correct it. Hoping I don't piss you off by not knowing a lot but I did purchase the book you suggested and I'm sure that will help me become more knowledgeable, Thanks for you help, it is appreciated sir.

The soloed audio track (check if everything is as intended) will (functionally) replace your original sequence track, but you’ll have to import it manually.
Then you can re-use the original sequence to add more sounds after clearing it‘s content.
(therefore the check before that final step)
Imho the manual import really isn‘t a big affair.

Use the looper instead.
