Hi All!

I spent a bunch of time carefully sampling some percussion instruments into a project on my MPC Live 2. Hit save - Let's say I called it 'Song A'.

Today I'm making a new track in a new project but want to access the percussion samples I saved as part of 'Song A' so that I can use them as a samples in todays new track.

How can I do this?

When I go into the 'browse' folder, I can find the project but loading the project only means I load the entire project and scrap the new one. I can't see any of the files under any other tab other than the 'p' (for project) tab.

Any ideas on how I can just load the percussion samples from 'Song A' into my existing project.

Thanks in advance and have a great day!

Thank you!

Hi. I have the same question but rather than wanting to load individual samples from a previous project, I want to know how to load up a drum program from a previous project, Where I've previously chopped up a drum break and assigned the sounds to pads - I want to be able to load this same drum program and sounds into a new project to use, without clearing the project. Thanks!

Same method described previously, the XPM file is in the projectData folder. However not so in MPC3 projects, only samples are there now, in which case save your project, then load the old project, select a track with the drum kit on it and go to SAVE > Drum Program, save it to a folder on disk, re-load your new project and then load that saved kit into it.
