Recording VST as Audio

I have a mixer and MPC and I want to be able to record my VST from the computer as audio instead of midi just like if it was a sound module can someone tell me the correct way to hook it up because I've tried several ways and still can't get it to record the vst as audio unless I'm sampling it, I don't want to sample it though. Any Help.

output your mpc and computer into the mixer and record the output to another device.

So run my outs from my mpc to then inputs on the mixer and my outs from my soundcard into the inputs on the mixer. Then run the out of the mixer into the input of another device. What do you mean by another device?

U Could Transfer the midi file From the Mpc if it is sequencing the Vst patch and run the midi file in The VST System then Export the song as audio or ..........................

Actually, in most sequencers you can simply "freeze" a miditrack playing a vsti to an audiotrack. What sequencer you using?

I'm using Cubase. I'ma try what you said mpc4000xl. Good info everyone, thanks for helping out.

i have the sonik synth 1 vsti i bught a while back

i was wondering the same thing

if i make a beat lets say a kick and a snare
can i just play sonik synth sounds over the beat?
and will it record or do i have to sample?
whats wrong with sampling over your drums?

im using a eurodesk and mpc 2k

I agree about running the VSTi into the mixing board and then to another device thats good stuff.I know a few folks that run two computers.They run VST instruments sequenced by there MPC's on one computer and then they run the audio from there MPC's and the VST computer through a mixer and into there audio interface of there recording computer.It works flawlessly this way.They treat the VST computer like it's a Triton,Motiff or any other keyboard.Great way to have tons and tons of sounds for alot less than buying all those diffrent keyboards.Digital synths and sound modules are nothing more than specialized computers anyway.

Running vst's through a mixer and recording it as audio?
I've been using Cubase for years, and it's never been easier than in the recent version. You press ONE button, and you have the track recorded in audio within seconds. Including automation, effects and all.

in cubase just export the vsti midi track to a audio file.

What button is that?

under the file menu, choose "export" or "export as audio" (not in front of my music computer right now.
