tilt screen has always been an mpc staple nothing mechanically challenging; they had it on the Ren and X and am sure future mpcs will have that tilt screen.

also u say tilt screen is not the best solution but i bet u every mpc x user is glad that its a tilt screen; not everyone wants to do an un doc they want the unit all in one.

A MPC NEEDS a tilt screen.. I would love for it to have 64 pads since it’s going to be XL..

That didn‘t refer to „tilt“ as a state, but to touch-operate a device in that position without a hand rest.
The function keys of the X ease the situation, but with more screen activity (in future releases) it may become a not-so-pleasant experience.

I noticed that when comparing DAW editing on the iPad with my regular desktop use, and at that time would have much appreciated the iPad as an alternative.
But never mind... I‘m not against tilted screens. My 4k has one, too

Most probably the 2G chipsets are almost out of stock and Akai will use the remaining 4G ram pcb

The 'MPC XL' name makes a lot of sense. Price is probably gonna be XL as well.

Going from an MPC2500 to the Force - trust me I know the pain of using your main device w/o a tilt screen & wouldn't wish that on anybody, so PLEASE Akai don't put no one thru that again

Playing The Last of Us: Part 2 last night. Ran into a music store (called "Valiant") on the Seattle level and there's like two MPC-X-ish instruments in there! Nice product placement, Akai!
