Explode greyed out in the export dialogue

Hi Guys
Happy New Year.
I tried to bounce the stems of a new project earlier and found the explode section greyed out. Ive googled and seen several things that don't work.
Im just really confused as I had to google how to export anyway. I swear it used to be a folder icon at the top of the screen next to the project name. Im not sure why it would force me to 'Song' mode to export. I dont always create songs but I have always taken stems from the mpc into Logic Pro. So I admit I cant remember but in as much im sure its changed and dont know the new method.

From song mode, convert song to sequence, then go to menu, save, audio mixdown and select the explode option
