Need to have the same plugins on Live II and Key 61

I've had my Live II for about a year now. My bandmate recently got an MPC Keys 61. One of my goals is to be able to develop projects on my machine for use on his machine (I'm WAY better at the technical stuff than he is, but he can play keys and I can't).

His machine came with FabricXL, Fabric, Fabric Piano, Studio Strings, and a number of other plugins I don't have. Is there a way for me to get the plugins he has on my machine for free or for relatively short money? I seem to see them on a website bundled for about $350. I'm not cheap and I don't want to do anything illegal or unethical. But that's too much money for our purposes. If it were $150, I'd probably spring for it.

Are there any deals for these plugins or are they free for people who already own an MPC?

Only the MPC Keys comes with those plugins, the rest of us have to pay for them unfortunately. You would think the $2200+ X users would at least get a bone but nope, $$$..

Yes there were some deals over black friday, I think it was $199 for everything. Akai have a history of regular sales like this, so you will likely get them for a similar price some time in the next few months.

MPCSAVE10 gives 10% discount on most items BTW, often even on sale prices.

True that. Especially the USB MIDI and audio interface updates. When I first got the Live, I had slimmed down my setup enough I could daisy chain all my MIDI crap with no trouble, or setup my AMT8 as a standalone MIDI interface over DIN. 3 years later, no way my setup would survive without the USB MIDI support hah.
