installing internal zip myself

hey guys,

im sick of my carrying my external zip to shows and have bought an internal one from ebay. Can someone please tell me how to install it and what other parts I need. i tried the mpc2000xl.com site but it isnt detailed at all. Thanks heaps.

I agree, that site isnt very detailed at all. But did you get an internal scsi zip, or atapi?

I dont know about scsi, but with atapi, what you need is a 40 pin IDE ribbon cable to plug into the slot on the MPC motherboard (it will say "atapi ide" in small white letters next to the slot). The other cable you will need is a power cable. Now you will have to make one yourself, however dont fret at all- this is very very simple. Here is a link to the thread I recently went through regarding this same thing. If you had run a search you would have found it relatively quickly, but I feel obligated since I recently went through such a headache with this same thing, lol.
