I feel like I'm going crazy.

What's up everyone? My name is Tony Gaines I am a long time producer. I started on a 2000, then a 4000, then after many years of being in DAWS, I'm a new X owner. I love it, this probably my favorite piece of gear of all time.

But, I'm having an issue that I just can't get around. I didn't realize it until I started working on some ambient tracks for Youtube that needed to be seamlessly looped for hours. I wasn't going to create like an 8 hour sequence and dump it out, so I made like a 5 minute mixed version that could be looped later. But herein lies the problem. My exports from the MPC aren't starting at the absolute one, there's like a small silence being added to the beginning. I'm wondering first of all, am I tripping? Is that right? Then I start thinking settings and setup. I can't find anything here or on google, so that leads me to believe it's got to be user error, but after combing through the manual I can't pin it down. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm assuming this is in standalone mode and not in Controller Mode connected to a computer running the MPC Software? If standalone, under your Audio Mixdown options, do you have the start bar set to "1"? Does your entire project actually begin on bar 1? Are you adding audio tails? There's no plugin delay compensation at all, so that may or may not have something to do with it. Which firmware are you on?

Not sure.. I stopped using mpc software in controller mode a while ago. Now only use ableton and use mpc standalone mode via midi i/o (mpc as slave). Still it has some latency problem but i was able to adjust.

Um, if you can upload very short clip(starting point i guess) it would be more helpful.

Gotcha. Are you using the MPC Software alone on your desktop, or running it as a plugin inside of your DAW?

I can confirm it does this.
When I line up the exported stubs in a DAW I have to trim the start of all of them by the same 500ms or so.
Not sure why it does it and I haven't found a setting to disable it.

This might well be the audio buffer emptying itself. Logic does that when bouncing, only there‘s residue from the last segment buffering. Bounces there always need destructive trimming afterwards, hence many use empty bars at the start of a project.

Are you exporting through song mode or a new sequence? If you’re doing it from song mode try converting to one sequencing and then exporting there. For some reason song mode leaves space at beginning but sequences don’t in my experience.
