it seems everting is kinda pointing to NAMM 2023 which isn't until mid April...

So I believe its usually these companies show something at NAMM then 2 weeks to 2 months later they release it. So I assume we could be looking at June or July before we throat punch our credit cards.

Prob 3 -4 months before we grip it. At least? :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm:

The new MPCs have one thing in terms of classic workflow that makes them really stand out compared to mosr of their predecessors and that is the qlinks and the way they support precise start and end point editing.
However; Akai never managed to put the full set (or at least two times for for start and end) on any MPC except the X (and the Ren).
This is the one thing I would like to see, better qlink support by adding at least two rows on every MPC. Not holding my breath though since they didn’t even manage on the Keys but I really want the MPC of all boxes to catch up with NI‘s Maschine.

WTF are you talking about? The MPC 1k has precise audio editing and if I recall correctly the MPC 2k Classic that I have also, so I gues the 2500 the 2kxl the 4k and the 5k all have precise editing.
And please can you tell me what does the maschine (awful workflow machine) that the MPC does not have? There was a time that I bought and tried one, sold it pretty fast, maschine workflow :vomit:

Facts, :hmmm: not sure what his experience is but they definitely have precise audio editing.

For me the QLinks don't work so far as I find it really hard to remember which they do. On paper context sensitivity is great. But with the extra of having 4 different meanings to toggle through it's a UI nightmare for me.

Anyway, what I really miss - and nobody not even NI has it - are QButtons. When I want to mute a track quick or do a throw-delay I do not want to turn a knob which eventually goes from on to off state. I want to to hit a button.

PS: And I want to to have reasonable contrast for QLink help test. Dark gray on dark a dark background. Has nobody at Akai ever heard of accessible design?

This is NOT true AT ALL.

One of the reasons I went for an X is the 16 q-links. Each with their own screen.

Loved them on the Ren but the screens make them much more user friendly.

This was something I always wanted on the 4k.

I was hardcore 4k, but, these q-links were a major deciding factor for an X purchase. I always seemed to want more from the q-links on the 4k even though they already seemed flawless.

2kxl note variation slider STARTED my interest in this area..

Took the time to set up a project template with the q links sending cc to all my hardware synths. Being able to automate any parameter makes them so powerful.

Rare I actually use the touchscreen other than odd moments.

Slightly off topic but is there a way to save a midi programs config.
I was hoping I could just load a midi programs for the noba and all midi routing and q links would load up.
As it stands midi programs seem pretty useless.
