Hi,

When I play the keyboard, the PAD bank changes. how to make the PAD bank not change when I play the keyboard.?

What I want is to always have the bank A or B or other accessible regardless of the keyboard sounds I play

Thanks

I have an MPC Keys61 also. Are you comfortable with sending me the project your working on so that I can troubleshoot it?

Also, you didn’t detail any midi connected gear (if anything).
OS
Expansion causing the problem?
Help us help you.

Hi

Thank you for your answer
OS: 2.11.6
no midi connection

No problem to sending the project but
my problem is not on a particular project. and I don't think it's a bug. but that's normal.
my need is in order to play live. example if we take a project with 3 sounds: 1 piano sound on the right, 1 bass sound on the left, 1 drum sound on the pads with only samples on bank A. when I play on the keyboard, the pads flash depending on where I play the keyboard. and the bank of the pads changes according to the octave. the result is that when the bank goes to bank b, c or other than a, there is no sample on the pads.
can this mode be changed? so that when I play on the keyboard the pads do not flash and the banks do not change? and always have bank a and drum samples on the pads?

now that you explain it in more detail I have seen the EXACT same thing on my Keys61 and it's driving me crazy. I don't know why it does that. It's nuts. My X doesn't do that at all. On both machines I use 2.11.6.

I guess nobody knows? Just bought an MPC Key 37 and was looking to achieve this, to no avail. Running MPC OS 3.6. I explicitly set midi input to "pads" for the drumkit track, and "keys" for the plugin track, but still, when selecting the drumkit track, the keys will change the pad-banks.

The keyboard is mapped by default to the pads, and will follow what you're playing, although how it's mapped seems kind of weird to me. I suspect there's a way to edit it, but that's above my pay grade to figure out. Maybe in the Midi Control page or the Keyboard Control.

Is this still happening?
The reason it happens is, everytime the Mpc turns on it sects a random midi learn template, so if that for example template has bank change commands mapped to midi notes, it will change the bank when the note is played. As I have ssh enabled I was able to prove it by viewing the Mpc settings file and seeing that the selected template changed everytime the Mpc shuts down . I fixed it by deleting all the midi learn template files . Again ssh needed for that. I was then also able created a custom midi learn template on the desktop version and place it in the now empty midi learn folder . Modify the line in Mpc settings and have more commands available on an external midi controller.
