Hey What's up guys,

I recently purchased an MPC X used, and it was running version 2.10, so I decided to upgrade it. I figured my MPC live was successful, might as well try the X.

I used the wifi method, downloaded the image and it went into update mode. I left the house only to return two hours later with the MPC X still in update mode. I waited a bit longer just to see, so i made the mistake of cleaning around the studio and unplugged the cable because I forgot that I had connected it to my power conditioner on the desk, not the one on the floor. Well long story short, my MPC X will not get passed the loading screen.

I've tried searching these forums for a solution. I opened a ticket with Akai, most likely wont hear from them until tomorrow. I notice this happens a lot with the Lives and Ones, haven't seem much on the MPC Xs.

Did anyone else have this problem? If so, what did you do to resolve it?

Yeah, that was my post haha.. anyway, just try the controller mode version. I’ve never heard anyone including my self to be successful with the standalone approach..

I've only ever updated standalone over WiFi. Not had issue. 4 or 5 updates since I bought it

I just got mine used and while the screen is wonky, I did update it via WiFi in standalone. Fairly fast no issues there
