Hi , does anyone know if there is a way or option to launch / start a single track on the mpc .....via a controller or sequencer?

Example if you had a bass pattern track in the mpc ..... and you wanted start that track playing single via a midi CC or other controller message - potentially from a daw or other sequencer / controller....without it starting any other tracks playing on the mpc hardware.?

Alternatively

If all tracks / multi tracks are playing on the mpc

Can you control the track mutes on / off via a controller , daw or other sequencer??

You can't launch a track independently from other tracks in a sequence, AFAIK.

There is only one way to launch some phrases independently from one another, in synchro: use the audio clip program, but it works only with audio, not sequence informations, so you'd have to bounce tracks into audio information.

This method has several advantages over regular tracks when performing, but also a few drawbacks but this is how I perfom.

The AKAI Force CAN trigger track sequences of any kind independently, not the MPC as of OS 2.X

Interesting.....

I'd still love to be able to control track mutes from an external device ...... controller or other...which be great

Nothing wrong with doing it from the mpc itself.... but would add some flexibility ability to be able to do track mutes from likes of a launch pad or other

I dragged my old Padkontrol out a few weeks ago expecting to be able to launch clips and track mutes via midi. Shouldn't have been surprised really. Akai dropped the ball with midi from the beginning.

Can.the force allow this via an external controller?
