Hey! I've got my MPC Live 2 a couple months ago, and i use it with a setup of MPC + Launchpad Pro Mk3 + Akai MIDIMix + Arturia Minilab Mk3 + DDJ-FLX4 + Ableton Live 11 Suite (MacOS). I only use ableton to sync my gear to rekordbox tracks (when necessarily). Mostly I use it on standalone mode, without the DDJ and the Mac.

That was just for the background. Now what i want to do is to play with a partner, who uses a Roland SPD-SX. Our goal is to sync tempo, sending out from the MPC to SPD's in, and be able to record SPD's standalone sounds into my MPC live loops.

I've searched forums, youtube, and even asked Chat GPT for helping me doing it, but not much success so long. What i've been trying already was:

-Connecting the SPD to the MPC via USB cable. This way it works, but as a MIDI extension controller to my MPC sounds. (not what im looking for);
-Connecting the SPD to the MPC via MIDI cable. It would only work with the USB too, but wont properly send tempo to the SPD, so seems like the same as first attempt, but with an extra cable;
-Connecting the SPD to the MPC via MIDI cable, and the SPD's 1/4" mono out to the MPC 1/4" mono in. I really thought it would do the job, but it didnt. Still cant get to send tempo clock from the MPC to the SPD, and also no success on recording it to the my loops.

Im probably asking the very same question on a Roland SPD forum, but hoping someone in here can help me.
