I was searching once but haven't found a way to just set an automatic loop marker to repeatedly loop a section of a sequence. Please tell me I am just to dumb and that that's easily possible? By easily I mean that it is also passible to play from say bar 86 and play into the loop which then loops 90-94. I don't mean manually adjusting sequence length every time. Much like they have it on the Force or Ableton or whatever.

LOCATE your play head at .. 80. Using locate function, or , in the grid Edit , by pressing the timeline bar were you want the playhead to go. Manual rewind by tapping in grid edit can be very efficient.

sequence loop points :

in MAIN VIEW : adjust your loop points to start 90- end 94

If you press PLAY : you will play from where yo located the playhead, then loop between 90 and 94
If you press PLAY START : you'll play directly from 90 and loop.

No need to adjust sequence length, only start and end of loop ...

Oh man if it's really that easy, then what a shame I never saw that I should really spend more time just watching what goes on on the screen. I am usually so deep in the zone that I don't see left or right. But oh well. I am not the only one not getting features hidden in plain sight. Kudos Calcaire

If so, that means The whole MPC line is receiving a Reverse Liposuction to its Internal Guts WITHOUT disturbing the Overall Architecture!

One possibility: nothing comes for free. And what I mean by that is - activating HDMI out will require the CPU to work that much harder, and it's already being pushed to the max. There's no dedicated GPU on the SoC that I know of, and integrated video always makes the CPU take a hit to some extent.

You could be right about that but how did Roland manage it with the MV series and whatever old processor that used.

Well off topic I think anyone who is from the 90's Era or has made a beat on legacy MPC's and not using JJOS (2500) should appreciate what you have right now.. can u imagine have to name all you beats and programs with the jog wheel or pads..

lastly quantifying track per track you please forget your hdmi and processors just love what you have.. just made a beat on my 2000 classic and yes it sound nice but dam I'm putting it back in the safe no need anymore time to move on...haha

Yup, this guy gets it... Sadly a lot of these newer MPC owners (on here especially) were born IN the 90's (and probably 00's), and have no idea what the OG MPCs are like, so they pit the current AKAI offerings against DAWs, and that's what you see most of these feature requests resembling...

honestly, I would be shocked if even half use their MPC in standalone mode.

It's also laughable that (the same people) expected that AKAI would somehow release some sort of jaw-dropping update for the XL

It's built a lot more like a games console. It's got multiple processors that seem to perform more compartmentalized tasks as well as some custom ICs (Roland MV-8800 service manual pdf)

Yess!! Yess!! This was me back when I had my 2500.. Had nice crispy clear sounding samples on my PC, loaded them to my 2500 and was like wtf happened to my samples..??
